“Laal e Yaman”(1933) was directed by J B H Wadia for Wadia Movietone. The movie had Jal Khambata, Kareem Jah, Feroz Dastoor, Master Mohammad, Sayani, Nazeer, B Khan, Padma, Mohini, Kamla, Mayuri, Miss Leela etc in it.
Feroz Dastoor, then a 13 year old child prodigy in classical music was signed up for this movie after J B H Wadia heard him sing in a private music concert.
One Feroz Dastoor song (his debut song in HFM) has been discussed in the past. Feroz Dastoor in fact ended up lending his voice in six out of the thirteen songs of this movie !
Here is the second song from this movie. It is sung by Feroz Dastoor and it is picturised on him as well.
Munshi “Aashaq” is the lyricist. Josef David and Master Mohammad were the music directors in this movie.
I have not been able to get a few words right in the lyrics. I request our readers with keener ears to help correct the mistakes/ missing words in the lyrics whereever applicable.

‘ munh par ‘ na aaya hai kabhi
wo lafz e mudda aa hoon main
‘laa-dawaa’ is correct. ‘ Laa ‘ as a prefix negates ‘ dawaa ‘ .
Last stanza is very unclear . But last line seems to be :
manzilen door ham se hon
kaisa sukoon bandanawaaz (?)
kaanch(?) ki rarah paarsaa
aur shikastaa paa hoon main

There is another MD Joseph David along with Master Mohmmad the latter offered music in Toofani Tarzan-37,
Munshi Aashiq was the wordsmith for Sarovar Ki Sundari-42, Sofia-46,
