“Son of Alibaba” (1955) was produced by Darshan and directed by Majnu for M P Films. The movie had Mahipal, Chitra, Majnu, Chandrashekhar, Maruti, Shamim Chaudhary, Ramesh Thakur, Rajan Kapoor, Mumdaz, Md Ali, Ghani, Babu, Sheikh etc in it, with Shivraj and Nishi credited as guest artists.

One song (out of eight) from this movie has been discussed in the past. Here is the second song from the movie to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Geeta Dutt. Prem Dhawan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Sardul Kwatra.

Only the audio of this song is available. Considering that Chitra played the lead role and Geeta Dutt was the sole female singer in this movie ( with her voice appearing in seven out of eight songs), it can be safely assumed that the song was picturised on Chitra.

Song-Sanam tu aa ja balam tu aa ja (Son of Alibaba)(1955) Singer-Geeta Dutt, Lyrics-Prem Dhawan, MD-Sardul Kwatra

Lyrics

sanam tu aa ja
balam tu aa ja
pyaar ki raahon mein
zulfon ki chhaaon mein
jhlak dikhla ke nazar takra ke
dil mein sama aa ja
sanam tu aa ja
balam tu aa ja

ye chaand taare
hanste nazaare
tere muntjir hain saare ke saare
ye chaand taare
hanste nazaare
tere muntjir hain saare ke saare
mere deewane aa
kisi bahane aa
jhlak dikhla ke
najar takra ke
dil me sama aa ja
sanam tu aaja
balam tu aaja

honthon pe mere
hai naam tera
har saans laaye paighaam tera
honthon pe mere
hai naam tera
har saans laaye paighaam tera
tu aaja jaadu sa
hai dil bekabu sa
jhlak dikhla ke
najar takra ke
dil me sama ja
sanam tu aaja balam tu aaja
pyar ki raaho me julfo ki chhao me
jhlak dikhla ke najar takra ke
dil me sama ja
sanam tu aaja
balam tu aaja
pyaar ki raahon mein
zulfon ki chhaaon mein
jhlak dikhla ke nazar takra ke
dil mein sama aa ja
sanam tu aa ja
balam tu aa ja
