“Nishaana”(1950) was directed by M H Wazahat for M & T Films, Bombay. The movie had Ashok Kumar, Madhubala, Geeta Bali, Kanhaiyalal, Yakoob, Nawab Kashmiri, Durga Khote, Cuckkoo, Shyama, Shanti Madhok, Ahmad Agha, Shah, Balam, Guru, Basu, Nazafi etc in it.

Three songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the fourth song from “Nishaana”(1950) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Geeta Dutt. Nakshab is the lyricist. Music is composed by Khursheed Anwar.

Only the audio of this song is available. My guess is that the song might have been picturised on Madhubala. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.

Today (30 october 2016) is the 32nd death anniversary of Khwaja Khursheed Anwar (21 March 1912 – 30 October 1984). Here is this song from “Nishaana”(1984) on this occasion as a tribute to him.

Song-Tu tu tu ghar aaja (Nishaana)(1950) Singer-Geeta Dutt, Lyrics-Nakshab, MD-Khursheed Anwar

Lyrics

tu tu tu
tu tu tu ghar aaja
ghar aaja balamwa re ae
parde ae ae ae ae siya aa
tu tu tu
tu tu tu ghar aaja
ghar aaja balamwa re ae
parde ae ae ae ae siya

koyal kooke lehraaye ban
is kook ne phoonk diya tan-man
phir dil mein uthhi hook sajan
phir jee per lagi thhes piya
is dil ko o
is dil ko samjha ja
samjha ja balamwa re ae
parde ae ae ae ae siya aa
tu tu tu
tu tu tu ghar aaja
ghar aaja balamwa re ae
parde ae ae ae ae ae siya

mujh birhan kaa dil tod ke
in nainan se mukh mod ke
mera aangan soona chhod ke
tum jaaye base kis des piya
ab mukhda aa
ab mukhda dikhla ja
dikhla ja balamwa re ae
parde ae ae ae ae siya aa
tu tu tu
tu tu tu ghar aaja
ghar aaja balamwa re ae
parde ae ae ae ae siya

kab tak sakhiyon ke bol sahoon
ghut-ghut ke jiyoon
jal-jal ke maroon
ab dil mein yahi hai chal nikloon
mai lekar jogan bhesh piya
kit jaaun
kit jaaun batla ja
batla ja balamwa re ae
parde ae ae ae ae siya aa
tu tu tu
tu tu tu ghar aaja
ghar aaja balamwa re ae
parde ae ae ae ae ae ae siya
