“Lady Robinhood”(1959) was produced by Pannalal and directed by B J Patel for Rekha Chitr, Bombay. The movie had Mehru, Nilofer, Rajan Kapoor, Samar Rai, Miraajkar, Tuntun, Shakila Bano Bhopali, Nazir Kashmiri, Moolchand, Abdul Sattar, Balbir, Ram Raseela, Shri Bhagwan, Nandini, Shiela etc in it.

The movie had six songs in it. Five of these songs have been covered in the blog.

Here is the sixth and final song from “Lady Robinhood”(1959) to appear in the long. This song is sung by Mahendra Kapoor. Anand Bakshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Sardul Kwatra.

Only the audio of this song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.

With this rare song, which is quite hummable, “Lady Robinhood”(1959) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.

Song-Ham aaj chaley dil ko lootne (Lady Robinhood)(1959) Singer-Mahendra Kapoor, Lyrics-Anand Bakshi, MD-Sardul Kwatra

Lyrics

Ham aaj chaley
Ham aaj chaley
Ham aaj chaley
Ham aaj chaley
dil ko lutaane
ban ke deewaane
zulfon ki chhaaon taley ae ae
Ham aaj chaley
Ham aaj chaley

ae hawaa
na sata
rok na deewaane ko o o
ae hawaa
na sata
rok na deewaane ko o o
ley dua
tu mila
shamma se parwaane ko o o
dekh ye dharti
pyaar hai karti
mil ke gagan se galey ae ae
Ham aaj chaley
o Ham aaj chaley

dilruba
ye fizaa
mausam ki ye jawaani ee
dilruba
ye fizaa
mausam ki ye jawaani ee
kehti hai
sunti hai
un aankhon ki kahaani ee ee
rut ki ye chham chham
kaash na ho kam
aur na ye shaam dhaley ae ae
Ham aaj chaley
o Ham aaj chaley

kya jiya
wo bhala
dil jisne na lagaaya aa
kya jiya
wo bhala
dil jisne na lagaaya aa
is liye
ham marey
dard jigar mein basaaya aa aa
yaar se mil ke
saude hon dil ke
dekh ke duniya jaley ae ae
Ham aaj chaley
o Ham aaj chaley
