We in this blog had two new resolutions and I had decided to stick to them as long as I can. One was to introduce a “new” movie daily and another was to to close the account of another movie by YIPPying it.
We are in may 2017, and both these resolutions have finally seen breaks. For instance, there was no YIPPEE song on 13 may 2017, a day that had only one post, a post that introduced a “new” song. The string on YIPPEE posts was in fact broken a few days earlier on 6 may itself when I posted a song that I thought was YIPPYing its movie but I was wrong. The “new” post string had got broken a while ago.
However, unlike most new year resolutions, these new year resolutions were not broken due to laziness or lack of motivation, rather than for more pressing reasons like inability to spend enough time near the computer, which is essential for posting article in the blog. So, we can be proud that we achieved quite a lot in the blog thanks to these resolutions.
One resolution (unstated) still continues, and it is the resolution that there would be no dot days in the blog this year.
Over one hour of Today (15 may 2017) is still remaining, so I will use this time to post a YIPPEE song for the day. This song is the sixth and final song from “Waaris”(1969). This movie was directed by Ramanna for Vasu Films, Madras. The movie had Jeetendra, Hema Malini, Sudesh Sharma, Nazima, Manorama, Daisy Irani, Sunder, Prem Chopra, Aruna Irani, Ashokan, David Abraham, Mehmood, Kamini Kaushal, Sachin etc in it.
This sith and final song from “Waaris”(1969) is sung by Asha Bhonsle, Manna Dey and chorus. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist. Music is composed by R D Burman.
The song is picturised as a faux “jhaad phoonk” song where Hema Malini playacts as a woman who is under the spell of a buri aatmaa which Mehmood plays the hilarious looking witch doctor trying to rid Hema Malini of the buri aatmaa. Lots of other characters of the movie are also visible in the picturisation. This song is a diversion song as well. This song keeps people pre occupied and that gives Jeetendra as opportunity to climp up to the building where all this action is taking place.
With this song, “Waaris”(1969) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.

YIPPEEEE!!.. Waris had some really nice songs.. Did not realise this till now when we are listening to all the songs from the movie for project Yippeeee!! Thanks for the post Atul ji :).
