Song-Do din ki bahaaren khatm huyin (Daara)(1953) Singer-Lata, Lyrics-Saba Afghani, MD-Md Shafi

hmm hmm hmm
do din ki bahaare aen
khatm huyin
armaan bhara dil ro hi diya
do din ki bahaaren khatm huyin
ulfat ki kahaani itni thhi
paaya bhi unhen aur kho bhi diya
do din ki bahaaren khatm huyin

ummeed ka sooraj chamka thha aa aa
saawan ki andheri raat liye
maaloom na thha milne ki ghadi
aayegi judaai saath liye
kismat ne hamen dhokha de kar
aabaad ?? barbaad kiya
do din ki bahaaren khatm huyin

fariyaad bani honthon ki hansi ee ee
gham dil ki tamanna loot gaya
ik geet ?? rooth gai
ek taar baja aur toot gaya
in jaagati aankhon se hamane
ik khwaab adhoora dekh liya
ulfat ki kahaani itni thhi
paaya bhi unhen aur kho bhi diya
do din ki bahaaren khatm huyin

What a melodious tune ! This is what I call music with good taste. Great Mohd Shafi had total 24 Lata’s songs (including duets), in just 5 films, an information for those interested in statistics.

I hear it as,
?? – aabaad ‘chaman’,
?? – ik geet chhida (छिड़ा), tum rooth gai.
