“Qaatil”(1960) was produced by N N Sippy and D R Chandra and directed by Muhammad Hussain for Prithvi Pictures, Bombay. This “crime” movie had Premnath, Chitra, Heeralal, Lalita Pawar, Kamal Mehra, Renu Makad, Shaam Kumar, Madhumati, Meena Parel, Dhondhu, Kamal Mohan, Balaram, Najma, Nazeer Kashmiri etc in it.

It appears that Mohan Pictures, Bombay were on a spree to make movies begging with the word “Jaadui”. They had released three such movies in 1948 which went under titles like “Jaadui Shehnaai”, Jaadui Angoothhi”and “Jaadui Sindoor”. They were followed by “Jaadui Chitra” and “Jaadui Bansari”.

“25th july” (1951) was indeed the name of a Hindi movie. This movie is so obscure that its details are not available anywhere apart from HFGK. And for the time being I do not have access to HFGK. I will update the details of the movie later.

Today’s song is from an unknown film Fashion-1943.
The film was made by Fazli brothers and was, naturally, directed by one of them- Hasnain Fazli. The music was composed by Shanti Kumar Desai and the Lyricist was Arzoo Lucknowi. The cast of the film was Sardar Akhtar, Chandramohan,Sabita Devi, Bhudo Advani, Nazir Kashmiri etc.
