As many as six songs from six movies were covered on this date ten years ago on 10 march 2011.

Here are the details of the six songs that were covered on that day :-

One can notice that four movies (out of six) whose songs were discussed ten years ago on that date have since been YIPPEED in the blog. So only two movies are eligible for blog ten year challenge today. The first such movie, viz “Fariyaad”(1964) has already been taken up for this challenge today.

“Man Mandir”(1971) is the other movie eligible for Blog Ten Year Challenge today (10 march 2021).

“Man Mandir”(1971) was produced by Sudesh Kumar and directed by Chanakya for Vijayshree Pictures, Bombay. The movie had Waheeda Rehman, Sanjeev Kumar, Sudesh Kumar, David, Sunder, Randhir, Onkar, Jagadishraj, Aruna Irani, Manorama, Indumati, Kumudini Shanker, Helen, Ravikant, Mansaram, Mac Mohan, Paul Sharma, Parsuram, Som Haksar, Nayampally, Krishan Kumar, Farooq Jaipuri, Jagdish Sharma, Baby Kalpana, Master Chikoo,Mehmood etc in it. The movie introduced Rakesh Roshan and Kanchan.

The movie had six songs in it. Four songs have been covered in the past.

Here is the fifth song from “Man Mandir”(1971) to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

The song is picturised as a cabarat dance song on Helen. One can also see Rakesh Roshan, among others, in the picturisation.
