Blog Day :

4629 Post No. : 16280

Today’s song, like the previous song of “Jurm”(1990) discussed by me, is from a very recent movie ‘Criminal-1995’. The movie made its debut on the blog on 05.09.2008, with its beautiful romantic song ‘tu miley dil khile aur jeene ko kya chaahiye’. After that no song of this movie has been discussed so far.

Today after a gap of ‘4580’ days (breaking earlier record 😊 ‘4579’days) we are going to listen to the second song of this movie in the blog. Like others I was also not aware of the other songs of this movie except its song ‘tu miley dil khile aur jeene ko kya chaahiye’.

‘Criminal-1995’ was directed by Mahesh Bhatt (like ‘Jurm-1990’). And very rightly he first directed ‘Jurm-1990’(crime) and then moved on to ‘Criminal-1995’. (However, on our blog we first discussed ‘Criminal’ on 05.09.2008 and the ‘Jurm’ on 12.09.2008 😊 then in 2008).

Let us now move to the credits of this movie ‘Criminal-1995’.

As mentioned above it was directed by Mahesh Bhatt for ‘Vishesh Films’. It was produced by Mukesh Bhatt. It had Nagarjuna, Manish Koirala, Ramyah Krishnan, Laxmikant Berde, Johny Lever, Beena, Zaheer, Nasser, Sharad Babu with Gulshan Grover and Ajit. They were supported by Palav Vyas, Gurbachan, Mukesh Pandey, Vishweshara Rao, Jenny, Ravi Kiran, Dharmavupuru, Devdas Kankla and others. (Wikipedia mentions this as the last movie of actor Ajit.). Trishna made a guest appearance in this movie.

Screenplay of this movie was written by Sainath and dialogues were written by Jay Dixit. Editing of this movie was done by Sanjay Sankla.

It was passed by Censor Board on 21.07.1995 with restricted viewing certificate i.e., with ‘A’ certificate. This movie is said to be inspired by ‘The Fugitive-1993’ (an American movie) and was first made in Telugu in 1994 and later on in Hindi in 1995. Later it was dubbed and released in Tamil too.

This movie had eight songs (including ‘tu miley dil khile’ in three versions) written by Indeewar. Music for this movie was composed by M.M. Kreem.

Today we will listen to a song sung by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik (as per ‘wiki’ and the YT link) and performed on screen by Nagarjuna and Manisha Koirala and 😊 Nagarjuna and Ramyah.

As mentioned above I mainly associate this movie with its song ‘tu miley dil khile aur jeene ko kya chaahiye’ only, so I was not aware about the other songs of this movie. And I have so far not watched this movie too.
While writing about today’s post, I checked other songs of this movie and I found today’s song somewhat familiar (maybe I had heard it during those days) when I was staying at Kota (Rajasthan).

let us now enjoy the music of ‘nineties’ and listen to this song …

I would request knowledgeable readers who have watched this movie to throw more light on the movie and its songs.

Lyrics

jaanu jaanu jaanu
tu meri jaanu jaanu jaanu
tu meri jaanu jaanu jaanu
kaam ki kamaan hai
haseen hai
jawaan hai
dekhi nahin koyi tere jaisi
kaam ki kamaan hai
haseen hai
jawaan hai
dekhi nahin koyi tere jaisi
dekh ke ae jeene ke bahaane mil gaye
jaanu jaanu jaanu
tu mera jaanu jaanu jaanu
tu mera jaanu jaanu jaanu
ladkaa aalishaan hai tu
ladkiyon ki jaan hai tu
hoga nahin koyi tere jaisaa
ladkaa aalishaan hai tu
ladkiyon ki jaan hai tu
hoga nahin koyi tere jaisaa
tu milaa aa khushi ke khazaane mil gaye

jaanu jaanu jaanu
tu meri jaanu jaanu jaanu
tu meri jaanu jaanu jaanu oo oo oo

o gori chori chori
har koyi tujhe dekhtaa hai
door se nazaaraa karke
aankhen senktaa hai
kyun naa tujhe chaahen
kyun naa tujhe dekhen
tu cheez hai ghazab ki ee

tujhe dekhoon to bhooloon har gham
teri muskaan jaise marham
main teri deewaani lailaa
tu laakhon mein ek hai chhailaa

tujhe mil mil ke nahin milti tassalli
tadpoon milne ae ko o
tujhe tak tak tak tak thhakti nahin nazar
bhartaa nahin hai dil ho o
jaanu jaanu jaanu
tu mera jaanu jaanu jaanu
tu mera jaanu jaanu jaanu

jaanu jaanu jaanu
tu meri jaanu jaanu jaanu
tu meri jaanu jaanu jaanu oo oo oo

teri shahad se meetthhi baatein
liye chaahat chamakti hain aankhen
tu badaa hi chhail chhabilaa
hain jawaan mard joshilaa aa

teri chanchal chanchal aankhon mein
meri duniyaa hai doobi ee
kare pal pal halchal dil mein tu paidaa
tujhmen hai har khoobi ee

jaanu jaanu jaanu
tu meri jaanu jaanu jaanu
tu meri jaanu jaanu jaanu
kaam ki kamaan hai
haseen hai
jawaan hai
dekhi nahin koyi tere jaisi
kaam ki kamaan hai
haseen hai
jawaan hai
dekhi nahin koyi tere jaisi
dekh ke jeene ke bahaane mil gaye ae
jaanu jaanu jaanu
tu mera jaanu jaanu jaanu
tu mera jaanu jaanu jaanu

Avinash Ji
Not seen the movie or heard this song earlier. This song has good appeal.
M M Kreem is under appreciated MD. Many of his songs are classy.
Thanks.

Mahesh bhatt inspired by Harrison Ford`s 1993 Fugitive,

It is the story of a doctor who is caught between two friends, He marrys one(manisha koirala) and she gets murdered and police arrests husband doctor and he escapes from police and there is a sub plot of Organ smuggling,
and Ramya is also known in south indian film industry as Ramya Krishna
and
after a long gap, I guess Villain Ajit started his second innings during this time………

I get a feel that for this song they have filled in Hindi words for telugu style tune, as both Telugu and hindi version of this movie were made at same time,
Brothers Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt never loose chances like these…….

Even I got the feeling that hindi is filled into telugu song
