Today’s song is from the movie ‘Jaadui Ratan-1947’.
This movie made its debut on the blog on 21.07.2017 when our Shri Sudhir ji had presented the first song from this movie on the blog.
However no other song from this movie has been presented on the blog ever since. I guess that the songs from this movie were also not available on online sources. But now few songs have been made available by passionate music lovers.
“Jaadui Ratan-1947” was directed by Natwar Shyam for ‘Kismat Pictures’.
It had Nayantara, Mumtaz, Urmila, Suryakant, Devdutt, Fazlu, Lal, Chatterjee, Gulnar, Kanta, Pahalwan and others.
As per information available in HFGK Vol-II (1941-1950) this movie has eight songs composed by Music Director Chitragupt.
Two lyricists have been credited with song writing for this movie viz. Behzad and Kamalakant.
However lyricist for individual song is not mentioned in HFGK. (And so we are leaving the credit for lyricist as ‘unattributed’).

Today’s song is a nice song to listen where the girl is ‘expecting her beloved’s arrival’ and the ‘meeting’ with him. 🙂 She is filled with joy of the meeting with her beloved and doing the preparations for welcoming him. She is also asking her ‘sakhis’ to do the ‘sajaawat’ for their ‘madhurajni’ which (I guess) is coming after a long gap.
