Blog 10-Year Challenge (2013-2023) – Song No. 48

On this date ten years back viz on 16 March 2013, six songs were covered in the blog. Five of the songs were from five different movies. In addition, one NFS was also covered on that date. Here are the details:-

Out of the five movies whose songs were covered on this date ten years ago (on 16 March 2013), four songs have already been YIPPEED in the blog. That leaves us with only one movie that is still eligible for Blog Ten Year Challenge today (on 16 March 2023).
That movie is “Johar in Kashmir”(1966). This movie was produced and directed by I S Johar for Johar films, private limited, Bombay. The movie had Sonia Sahni, I.S.Johar, Kamal Kapoor, Tiwari, Sapru, Rajan Haksar, Paul Sharma, Shahid, Jagdish, Ulhas, Manmohan, Mukri, Mumtaz Begum, Manorama, Ratnamala, Haroon, D.Shantaram, Bazid Khan, Shetty, Narmada Shankar etc in it.
“Johar in Kashmir”(1966) had seven songs in it. Four songs have been covered so far. Here is the fifth song from the movie. This song is sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Indeewar is the lyricist. Music is composed by Kalyanji Anandji.
The song is picturised on Sonia Sahni who is seen lipsyncing this song while she is being whipped by her captors. She does not wince a bit and does not miss a sur even when whipped while singing the song. Sulochana Latkar, Master Shahid, Sapru, Kamal Kapoor, Ullhas, Jagdish Kanwal and Rajan Haksar are also visible in the picturisation.
