Kamsune/Unsune songs of Asha Bhosle – 100

With today’s song we complete a century of the series on the rare and/or rarely heard songs of the celestial playback singer, Asha Bhosle!!!

YAY!!!

The song, “Aye Raat Ke Andhere” is from a suspense mystery thriller movie “Woh Koi Aur Hoga” (1967).

This haunting melody is sung by Asha Bhosle, written by Asad Bhopali and composed by Usha Khanna. It is played in two parts.

“Woh Koi Aur Hoga” is produced under the banner of Amrit Kala Mandir, and is directed by A Shamsheer. The films is an action drama with a star cast that includes Feroze Khan, Mumtaz, Sohrab Modi, Dhumal, Asit Sen, Meenakshi and Sham Kumar.

The film is a suspense-driven romantic drama that blends mystery, mistaken identity, and emotional conflict.

The film revolves around a young woman haunted by the memory of a man she once loved—who either disappeared or died under mysterious circumstances. When she encounters another man who looks exactly like him, her life is thrown into confusion, leading to a tangled web of love, doubt, and suspense.

Story:

The story follows a woman (often portrayed as sensitive and emotionally vulnerable) who deeply loved a man in her past. Their relationship ends abruptly due to tragic or unclear circumstances—possibly his sudden disappearance or presumed death.

Years later, she meets a stranger who is the spitting image of her lost lover. Though he denies any connection to her past, his appearance, mannerisms, and presence unsettle her. She becomes convinced that he is the same man, perhaps hiding his identity for unknown reasons.

As she tries to uncover the truth:

*The man insists he is someone else, creating tension and emotional turmoil.

*Clues begin to emerge suggesting either a case of mistaken identity, a deliberate deception, or even a deeper conspiracy.

*Secondary characters—friends, family, or antagonists—add layers to the mystery, sometimes manipulating events or hiding secrets.

The narrative builds suspense as the heroine struggles between her heart and reality:

*Is this truly her lost love?

*Or, as the title suggests, is he “woh koi aur hoga”—someone entirely different?

In the climax, the truth is revealed—typically involving:

*A hidden past, such as amnesia, impersonation, or a long-buried secret.

*A confrontation that exposes the real identity of the man.

The resolution brings emotional closure, either reuniting the lovers or resolving the mystery in a bittersweet manner, depending on the film’s tone.

Here’s this haunting melody, picturised in an equally suspenseful manner:
