“Birhan”(1948) was directed by Kailash Bhandari for National Film Producers, Bombay. The movie had Roopa, Pran, Begam Parveen, Gul Zamaan, Ram Lal, Zaheer, Nafees Begam, Krishna Rane, Cuckkoo etc in it.
The movie had twelve songs in it that were penned by two lyricists vz. Bekal and Sarshar Sailaani but the distribution of songs among the two is not known.
Five songs from the movie has been covered in the past.
Here is the sixth song from “Birhan”(1948) to appear in the blog. Zeenat Begam and Dilshad Begam are the singers of this song.HFGK is slent about the singer of the song. Lyricist is not known. Music is composed by Pt Lachchiram.
Only the audio of this song is available. The song sounds like a chhed chhad song where sahelis of a lady are teasing her on her love “affair” with a “gaadi waale baabu”. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.

thanks for posting this song. I found fair appeal. Except Pran ,all those mentined in the cast & music aspect are unknown to me
