The 1950s and the early 60s was the period in which the Hindi film industry churned out films which tried to glorify the impractical approaches to real problems, under the guise of Indian traditions. This was in line with what Nehru espoused as Socialism. Unfortunately, it took the Indian public farther from reality and instead of advancing, we went back another two decades. It was only after the war with China in 1962 and demise of Nehru in 1964, the wheels turned the right way slowly after winning the war of 1965 with Pakistan, under the leadership of Shastri ji, India knew and understood what was necessary for the country to progress. After Indira Gandhi took over and implemented certain strong measures, the influence on Indian people changed for the better.

The film was made by Minerva Movietone, produced and directed by Sohrab Modi. I liked Sohrab Modi very much. Not only because he could deliver long dialogues forcefully, but because his life story was very inspiring.
