I just wanted to discuss a song from the film Mr. Sampat-1952. The song’s first lines are ‘Hurra Hurra, achhe din aa rahen hain’. This is merely a coincidence !

Today (18 february 2016) is the birth anniversary of Nimmi (DoB 18 february 1933). Sri Lanka Broadcasting Service honoured Nimmi by playing solo songs picturised on her in “Film sangeet” and duet songs picturised on her in the “Puraani Filmon Ke Geet” programme today.

I am glad that I posted this song when I did. As per my search, this is possibly the last song of Rafi Sb that starts with ‘ऊ’, and not yet posted on our blog. Just made it by cat’s whiskers. Otherwise, I would have been expressing regrets, just like for ‘ई’. 🙂
