Missing Films of 1960s – 26

There is a lot of discussion, heated debate, controversy etc. etc. on plagiarism. Given that the entire structure of the music world is founded on simply seven basic notes. Yes, we go on to sub notes and compound notes, and then ragas (combination of notes). But to the uninitiated, and untrained in classical music (like myself), it seems well nigh impossible that one can continue to keep on creating new songs and do not repeat a melody. Goodness, more than 5 months since the last post in this series. Starting in April, it was keeping a slow but regular pace till July, and then. . .
Anyways, back to one of my favorite genres – songs with a wonderful melody and a foot tapping beat that simply makes them irresistible hummers. One listens, and the mind simply wants to continue humming them, over and over again. There are many such songs, and practically all of them are popular and well known. The thing that I am trying with this series is to locate the unfamiliar and less heard gems of this category, which have remained anonymous, mostly for the reason that they are from films that either did not get released, or films that remained obscure and unheard of themselves.

“Tin Tin Tin” (1959) was directed by B J Patel for Kirit Films. This obscure B grade movie had Caeser (Dog), Neelofar, Samar Roy, Mirajkar, Habeeb, Rajan Kapoor, Vishwa Mehra, Devchand, Moolchand, Bhudo Advani, Abdul Sattar, Tuntun etc in it.
Seeing that a dog played an important role, I am keen to find out more about this movie. 🙂 Unfortunately the prints of this movie seem to have been lost with the passage of time.
