I have come across a forgotten movie from the past. The movie is called “Parbat Pe Apna Deraa”(1944). This movie was made by V Shantaram and it had Ulhas and Vanmala in lead roles.

“Shehnaayi” (1947) must have been one of the biggest and most influential musical blockbusters of all time. The songs created in this movie went on to redefine the concept of music in Hindi movies.

Using the word “Chaand” in the lyrics, if done carefully, has the effect of making the song a nice romantic song. and if the title of the movie itself is “Chaand”, and the song is picturised on a “chaandni raat” (full moon light), then the effect is incredible and it leads to the kind of songs that I describe as a “Chaayaageet” songs.
