Today, after quite some time, I have found the opportunity to wake up early morning and try and post a few songs for the day. The catch is, I have only about an hour or so at my disposal, in which I will try to post at least three songs for the day.

The way we were discussing Hansraj Bahl compositions in the recent past, regulars of the blog may have rightly guessed that Hansraj Bahl was reaching his milestone of 100 songs in this blog. And indeed he has now scored his century of songs in this blog. This is the 51st such occasion in the blog, and Hansraj Bahl is the 50th artist to complete a century of his songs in this blog.

“Chakori” (1949) is by now an obscure movie. This movie was a Ramesh Pictures production. It was directed by Ramnarayan Dube. The movie had Bharat Bhushan, Nalini Jaywant, Om Prakash, Manorama, Cuckoo etc in this movie.

24th december is a red letter day for Hindi movie music lovers. It was on this day in 1924 that Mohammad Rafi was born. We in this blog do not wait for this day to remember him, of course. This blog is 1260 days old and we have 1287 Rafi songs so far in this blog, which means that we in this blog remember him everyday by discussing on an average one Rafi song daily.
