Introducing Shekhar Gupta – one of the quieter albeit active voices on the blog. Over the past two years, I have been in email communication with him, on various topics related to film music and the blog. He comes across as an unpretentious and humble personality, that belies his stature and accomplishments. Today (8 september 2013) is the 80th birth anniversary of Asha Bhonsle. On this occasion, here is a forgotten musical gem from this equally forgotten movie. This song is a duet which is sung by Asha Bhonsle and Mukesh. B D Mishra is the lyricist. Music is composed by S N Tripathi.
