If you visit and Indian household or office, you are likely to be served “chai”. When you go to a railway station, then the most ubiquitous vwndor you may come across is the itinerant teaseller one who sells his goods while carring a kettle of tea and shouting “Chai, garam chai” in his characteristic manner which has remnained unchanged over several generations.

Reading the line of the lyrics “naazuk naazuk badan moraa” did not ring any bells for me, but when I listened to the song, then it rang began to ring quite loudly. I had listened to this song during my younger days, some four decades ago. And I was not aware of any details of this song. In fact I was nnot even aware of the lyrics of the song. I only had vague recollections of the catchy tune of this song.

Till 1974-75, when Rajesh Khanna’s movies began losing their appeal (for me at least), I was happy to watch any Rajesh movie for him alone. There was almost always at least one good song to enjoy in the movie. And very often more than one.
