“Hare Kaanch Ki Choodiyaan” (1967) was produced and directed by Kishore Sahu. The movie was made by him as a launch vehicle for his daughter Naina Sahu. But unlike his predecessors like say Jaddanbai, V Shantaram and Shobhana Samarth, who managed to launch the careers of their daughters with their home productions, Kishore Sahu’s home production failed to ensure a successful film career for his daughter.

This is one more duet by Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhosle from the film ‘Kaise Kahoon’. The music for this film is composed by S D Burman and lyricist is Shakeel Badayuni. These two have worked together in very few films. I know of only two i.e ‘Benazir’ and this film, both released in the year 1964.

The movie had Ashok Kumar, Shashikala, Mala Sinha, Biswjeet, Tanuja, Gajanan Jagirdar, Ashim Kumar, Abhimanyu Sharma, Gopalkrishnan, Sharad Kumar, Lalita Kumari, Sarita Devi, Praveen Paul, Vijay Banoo, Sitara Devi etc in it.
