Today 26th September’2021 is the thirty-secondth Remembrance Anniversary of Legendary Singer and Music Director of yesteryears Hemant Kumar.

Hemant Kumar Mukhopadhyay was born on 16th June 1920 at Benaras, Benaras State under British India.

He passed away on 26th September 1989 at the age of sixty-nine.

He also sang in many regional languages including my mother tongue – ‘Marathi’. Ravindra Sangeet sung by him in ‘Bengali language’ is an immortal gift he left for all music connoisseurs.

Mukesh and his co-singers – 2
—————————————-
Talat Mahmood and Mukesh remained the best of friends till the latter departed for another world in August 1976. It gives me immense pleasure to present this second post in the series Mukesh and his co-singers featuring another of my all-time favourite singer.
