Shyamlal Babu Rai, who wrote endearing gems in the golden era of melody, such as “Bade Armaanon Se Rakha Hai Balam Teri Kasam”, and also popular hits for the new generation in the 1970s, such as “Aap Jaisa Koi Meri Zindagi Mein Aaye, To Baat Ban Jaaye”, had started his career back in the 1946 with two completely obscure and now unknown films – ‘Double Face’ and ‘Jungle Ki Pukaar’.  Information about these films is not easily traceable, and neither have the songs of these films have surfaced so far.

These days, being or showing that you are religious amounts to being Communal ! I do not agree, because I feel that your religious behaviour should be restricted to your own personal life, without any display of it. If you take a survey today, you may find that hardly 0.1 to 1 % of the population is Atheist ( those who do not believe the existence of God ). The rest are all believers in God. Belief in God and being religious are two entirely different things. Being religious is practicing the ‘karm kands’ or fulfilling the acts described, prescribed or suggested by the religion, like for example, going to the Temples regularly or doing Pooja Archana every day etc. Only those who practice these can be termed as being religious minded. As long as these things do not interfere with your duties towards family and society, no one should have aby business commenting/ interfering in that.

When I look at the movie titles of O P Nayyar, I find that he had composed in movies called “CID” (1956) as well as “CID 909”. He has worked in “Ustaad”(1957) as well as “Do Ustaad”(1959). He worked in “Basant”(1960) as well as “Phagun”(1958). He worked in “Farishta”(1958) as well as in “Mujrim”(1958),”Qaidi”(1957) and ‘ham Sab Chor Hain”. He worked in movies called “Kalpana”(1960)and “Raagini”(1962) and for matter in “Johny Walker” (1957) as well. Then there were a good number of Mr, Mrs , Miss etc viz. Mr and Mrs 55, Mr Qartoon MA, Mr Lambu, Shreemati 420, Shreemaan ji , Miss Coca Cola.
