Taansen (1943), a Ranjit Movietone productions, is rated as one of the major hit movies of Saigal Saab, right up there with Devdas, Yahudi Ki Ladki an Street Singer. True to the primary subject, this film is a musical bonanza of the first order. Directed by Jayant Desai, the film carried music compositions by the great Khemchand Prakash. I have been discussing a K L Saigal song daily in this blog and I have so far discussed 58 such songs. I have now reached a stage where almost all the K L Saigal songs uploaded on youtube have been exhausted. Now we are entering into slighly deeper waters as far as K L Saigal songs are concerned. All the songs that one tended to listen to at the stroke of 8 AM in radio Ceylon in the past decades have been covered and now the remaining K L Saigal songs are more rare as far as many listeners, including I am concerned.

“Aage Badho” (1947) is a forgotten movie from the past. It had Dev Anand, Khursheed,Vasant Thengdi and Kusum Deshpande in lead roles. Chances are, other names were the lead actors and Dev Anand, then a new comer could be a lesser actor in this movie.
