It feels like just yesterday that news of his death splashed on TV, shocking many of us and keeping us in a state of sadness for days after the event. And yet, it is two years already. How time flies!

Prior to this movie, he was an underconfident struggling actor who played second fiddle to the leading ladies opposite him. Normally it is believed that O P Nayyar composed music for only two Shammi Kapoor movies, viz. “Tumsa Nahin Dekha” (1957) and “Kashmir Ki Kali”(1964). But that is not correct. O P Nayyar also composed the music of “Mujrim” (1958). This was an Eagle Films Production. It was produced by F C Mehra and directed by O P Ralhan. The movie had Shammi Kapoor, Ragini, Shubha Khote, Kamal Kapoor, S. N.
