“Nai Umar Ki Nai Fasal”(1965) had Rajeev (who ?) and Tanuja in lead roles. This movie is well known for its epic sad song “caravan guzar gaya gubaar dekhte rahe”.

This movie called “Preet Ki Dori” (1971) is not well known, since the movie obviously flopped at the box office. It had Parikshit Sahni and Tanuja in lead roles.

When I first heard this song, this song reminded me of the song “lag jaa gale ke phir ye haseen raat ho na ho” from “woh kaun thi”.

I have barely heard of this movie called “Ek Baar Muskura Do” (1972). this movie sank without a trace, and with that the aspirations of Debu Mukherji to become a Bollywood hero came to naught.

I have heard this song earlier, but I did not pay much attention while doing that. And afterwards I have read lots and lots of nice things about this song. People regard it as one of the best songs that Kishore Kumar has ever sung.

“Anubhav” (1971) was a small budget movie which was not only different, it was in fact far ahead of its time. Not just the laymen, even the movie critics had yet to mature to appreciate such movies.

Joy Mukherji, Debu Mukherji and Somu Mukherji were brothers and they were from a well connected family. Their father was Shashdhar Mukherji, a big name in Bollywood movie making. Their uncle (chacha) was Subodh Mukherji, the well known movie producer. From their mother’s side, they were connected to Ashok Kumar, Kishore Kumar and Anup Kumar, who were their mamas.

“Haathi Mere Saathi” (1971) was a delight for kids when this movie was first released. It had everything that one needed. It had Rajesh Khanna, and it had elephants doing wonderful stuffs. What more does a kid and those young at heart want ?
