Do rang duniya ke aur do raaste

on:“Do Raaste” was a musical blockbuster. It had great songs sung by Rafi, Lata, and Kishore Kumar. But it was Mukesh who got to sing the Title song, and needless to say, this song too is just as popular as the other songs of this movie. Mukesh has sung this song full of pathos, as was his wont.
Anand Bakshi was the lyricist whereas Laxmikant Pyarelal had composed the music. It is so interesting to note that the four singers had sung songs of different moods in the movie. Whatever the mood, all the songs touched the heart string of the listeners, and all the songs are popular to this day.
Those were the days, when just about every movie had great songs oozing out of every nook and corners of the movie. Those were the days.

Song-Do rang duniya ke (Do Raaste) (1969) Singer-Mukesh, Lyrics-Anand Bakshi, MD- Laxmikant Pyarelal
Lyrics
do rang duniyaa ke aur do raaste
do rang duniyaa ke aur do raaste
do roop jeewan ke jeene ke waaste
do rang duniyaa ke aur do raaste
soch samajh ke paanv rakhe
samjhaa do har deewaane ko
samjhaa do har deewaane ko
ik rastaa mandir ko jaaye
ik jaaye maikhaane ko
ik jaaye maikhaane ko
raastaa bhool na jaaye
raahi dhokhaa naa khaaye
do rang duniyaa ke aur do raaste
do roop jeewan ke jeene ke waaste
do rang duniyaa ke aur do raaste
ek hain aise log jo
auron ki khaatir jeee hain
auron ki khaatir jeee hain
doosre wo jo apani khaatir
apnon kaa khoon bhi peete hain
apnon kaa khoon bhi peete hain
koyi phool khilaaye
koyi kaante bikharaaye
do rang duniyaa ke aur do raaste
do roop jeewan ke jeene ke waaste
do rang duniyaa ke aur do raaste
aur do raaste
aur do raaste
aur do raaste

Nice pathos number. Atul, just curious, what is the difference between the tag Theme Song and Title Song?
