Insaaf ki dagar pe bachchon dikhaao chalke

Posted on: February 14, 2009

Movies produced in 1950s and 1960s still had zeal for nation building. Not just songs, even movies were produced on the theme of nation building in those days.

Even in movies with more mainstream story line, one could well come across songs that talked of nation building.

Here is a very well known song. This is a song from ‘Ganga Jamuna” (1961) and it has been sung by Hemant Kumar. Shakeel Badayuni is the lyricist and Naushad is the music director.

this song is an iconic song, and one is bound to come across this song on national holidays like independence day and republic day.

Song-Insaaf ki dagar pe bachchon dikhaaon chalke (Ganga Jamuna) (1961) Singer-Hemant Kumar, Lyrics-Shakeel Badayuni, MD-Naushad

Lyrics

insaaf ki dagar pe, bachchon dikhaao chal ke
ye desh hai tumhaaraa, netaa tumhin ho kal ke
insaaf ki dagar pe, bachchon dikhaao chal ke
ye desh hai tumhaaraa, netaa tumhin ho kal ke

duniyaa ke ranj sahnaa aur kuchh na munh se kahnaa
duniyaa ke ranj sahnaa aur kuchh na munh se kahnaa
sachchaaiyon ke bal pe aage ko badhte rahnaa
sachchaaiyon ke bal pe aage ko badhte rahnaa
rakh doge ek din tum sansaar ko badal ke
rakh doge ek din tum sansaar ko badal ke
insaaf ki dagar pe, bachchon dikhaao chal ke
ye desh hai tumhaaraa, netaa tumhin ho kal ke

apne hon yaa paraaye sabke liye ho nyaay
apne hon yaa paraaye sabke liye ho nyaay
dekho kadam tumhaaraa hargiz na dagmagaaye
dekho kadam tumhaaraa hargiz na dagmagaaye
raste bade kathin hain chalnaa sambhal-sambhal ke
raste bade kathin hain chalnaa sambhal-sambhal ke
insaaf ki dagar pe, bachchon dikhaao chal ke
ye desh hai tumhaaraa, netaa tumhin ho kal ke
aaaa

insaaniyat ke sar par izzat kaa taaj rakhnaa
insaaniyat ke sar par izzat kaa taaj rakhnaa
tan man bhi bhent dekar bhaarat ki laaj rakhnaa
tan man bhi bhent dekar bhaarat ki laaj rakhnaa
jeewan nayaa milegaa antim chitaa mein jal ke,
jeewan nayaa milegaa antim chitaa mein jal ke
insaaf ki dagar pe, bachchon dikhaao chal ke
ye desh hai tumhaaraa, netaa tumhin ho kal ke
insaaf ki dagar pe, bachchon dikhaao chal ke
ye desh hai tumhaaraa, netaa tumhin ho kal ke
