Sainya dil mein aana re

I have heard this song many a times without being aware of its details except the name of the singer.
It was only when received a farmaish for this song that I came to know that this song was from a movie called “Bahaar” (1951). It is sung so beautifully bey Shamshad Begum. Rajinder Krisha’s lyrics are so lovely and cute and the wonderful music is by S D Burman.
And who is this young lady on whom this song is picturised ? It is none other than Vyjyanti Mala, a much slimmer and lighter version of the Vyjyanti Mala that we subsequently became familiar with. She in fact made her Bollywood debut with this movie.
So here is arguably the first song picturised on Vyjyanti Mala in a Bollywood movie and what a timeless classic this song turned out to be !

I remember to have seen this movie 1953/54 and still have it on VCR .
The photo she picks up during the song is of Karan Dewan who was the hero of the movie.
Karan Dewan himself was also a singer and sang a song in film Daheej, picturised on himself, “Ab Zindagi ka booj uthaya na jayega”

I really like this song a lot – fantastic voice, pleasant music, very nice lyrics and sweet picturisation on Vyjanthi.
