Teri nazar mein main rahoon

Posted on: January 19, 2010

Here is a song from an obscure B grade movie. But as I always say, there is nothing B grade about the song.

This song is sung by Rafi and Geeta Dutt. Prem Dhawan is the lyricist and Chitragupta is the music director.

I have no idea about the actors on whom this song is picturised. In fact, this movie itself is far too obscure to have too much information available anywhere about this movie.

Song-Teri nazar mein main rahoon (Band Master) (1963) Singers-Rafi, Geeta Dutt, Lyrics-Prem Dhawan, MD-Chitragupta

Lyrics

teri nazar mein main rahoon
meri nazar me tu rahe
bolo bolo haan
hmm hmm
teri nazar mein main rahoon
meri nazar me tu rahe
bolo bolo haan
o yes
ye silsilaa yoon hi chale
zamaanaa jalta hai jale
bolo bolo haan
ho ho

tumhaari rangeen mehfil mein aake
lo aaj baithe hain sab ko bhulaake
tumhaari rangeen mehfil mein aake
lo aaj baithe hain sab ko bhulaake
nahin hai mere siwaa koyi dil mein
zara ye kah do nigaahen milaake
khule hain dil ke raaste sanam tere hi waaste
bolo bolo haan
o ho

pari hai tu ya koyi naazneen hai
ke saare aalam mein sabse haseen hai
pari hai tu ya koyi naazneen hai
ke saare aalam mein sabse haseen hai
main jo bhi hoon mujhko apna hi samjho
jahaan ho tum meri duniya wahin hai
ye dil bhi hai tere liye
ye jaan bhi hai tere liye
bolo bolo haan
hmm hmm

lubhaa gayin hain teri ye adaayen
kisi pe jamti nahin ab nigaahein
lubhaa gayin hain teri ye adaayen
kisi pe jamti nahin ab nigaahein
huaa hai ham pe bhi koyi to jaadoo
ke dil se aati hain teri sadaayen
nazar mili to dil mile
jo dil mile to gul khile
bolo bolo haan
hmm hmm
teri nazar mein main rahoon
meri nazar mein tu rahe
bolo bolo haan
hmm hmm
ye silsilaa yoon hi chale
zamaanaa jalta hai jale
bolo bolo haan
aa haa

When I saw this song I was reminded of Surendra-Suraiya duet with the same opening mukhda from the film ‘1857’, music by Sajjad Husain. I am so happy that further down under Sajjad Husain you have posted this incredibly beautiful song. Thanks.

There is another wonderful song in ‘Band Master’. ‘Ai jaane jaana,ye tumane na jaana ,kitanaa muze tumase pyar hai’ sung beautifully by Lataji.
