Till recently, scoring centuries of songs took me just a fortnight. But now I have slowed down considerably. My previous century (song number 2101 to 2200) took me one month. Even that was much faster than my present century. Yes, this song is song number 2300 for this song, and it has taken me a tortoise like two months and a half to reach from 2201 to 2300 !
This song number 2300 is from a movie called “Chandralekha” (1948). This movie was produced by a South Indian production house and it was produced on a lavish scale. This movie in fact turned out to be a big hit in all the languages in which it was released.
Here is this wonderful song from “Chandralekha” (1948). The song is sung superbly by Geeta Dutt and the picturisation is outstanding. Bharat Vyas is the lyricist and music direction is by S Rajeshwar Rao.
I take this opportunity to thank all my readers and well wishers who continue to encourage me through their visits, comments, suggestions etc. I was in the process of moving base and that was the reason for my slowing down. Hopefully I will be able to pick up the pace yet again and score my next centuries at a faster rate.
