Zindagi ke rang kayi re saathi re

Posted on: April 1, 2010

“Aadmi Aur Insaan” (1969) was a movie starring Dharmendra, Saira Bano, Feroz Khan etc. The songs of this movie were very popular in its days.

And curiously enough, I had never heard this song before. This song is a sentimental song picturised on a boat, making it a sentimental boat song by my classification. The picturisation also shown Dharmendra and Feroz Khan.

The song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and it is picturised on Saira Bano.Sahir Ludhianvi is the lyricist and Ravi is the music director.

Song-Zindagi ke rang kayi re saathi re (Aadmi Aur Insaan) (1969) Singer-Asha Bhonsle, Lyrics-Sahir Ludhianvi, MD-Ravi

Lyrics

zindagi ke rang kai re saathi re zindagi ke rang kai re
zindagi ke rang kai re saathi re zindagi ke rang kai re

zindagi dilon ko kabhi jodti bhi hai
zindagi dilon ko kabhi todti bhi hai
zindagi dilon ko kabhi todti bhi hai
zindagi ke rang kai re saathi re zindagi ke rang kai re

zindagi ki raah mein khushi ke phool bhi
zindagi ki raah mein ghamon ki dhool bhi
zindagi ki raah mein ghamon ki dhool bhi
zindagi ke rang kai re saathi re zindagi ke rang kai re

zindagi kabhi yaqeen kabhi gumaan hai
har qadam pe teraa-meraa imtahaan hai
har qadam pe teraa-meraa imtahaan hai
zindagi ke rang kai re saathi re zindagi ke rang kai re
zindagi ke rang kai re saathi re zindagi ke rang kai re

My favorite song from this movie and one of my favorite Dharmendra-Mumtaz songs is “Zindagi Ittefaq hai”. It’s actually the reason I saw the movie.

You had not heard this song before ? It is quite a well-known song, even if not the best-known song of the movie. This movie has not just “zindagi ittefaq hai”(which is lovely) but also “dil karta o yaara dildaara mera dil karta” (I just love this song).

I really love the songs from this film although I am lukewarm about the movie itself. The songs are really excellent though.

Yes, there are many movies like this where songs are great but the movie is not.
