Barkhaa ki raat mein he ho haa

There are some songs about which I come to know by reading about them. But when I look for them, these songs are extremely elusive, as they are not available anywhere.
When I was going through the list of Binaca geetmala final 1955, I found that there were a couple of songs in the list that were not available anywhere. One such song was “gul muskura uthaa bulbul ye gaa uthaa” from “Baadshah”. I have since posted this song, but searching for this song was a job fit for a Hercule poirot or a Sherlock Holmes. Then there was another song in the same list. It was “barkhaa ki raat mein he ho haa”. Searching for this song was even more difficult. And how I managed to locate this song is a tale in itself. Let us just say that my mental faculties were tested to the extreme.
But then providing rare to find songs is something that I take great pride in. So here is this extremely rare to find song from “Sardar” (1955). This is a lovely song sung by Geeta Dutt and chorus. Uddav Kumar is the lyricist and Jagmohan Sursagar is the music director. This song had finished 13th in Binaca geetmala final of 1955.
