Nargis and Raj Kapoor had worked together in 14 movies in all. One of the lesser known movies where they worked together is called “Pyaar” (1950). This movie may be lesser known, but it is a trivia buff’s delight. For instance, this is the only movie where Kishore Kumar gave playback for Raj Kapoor.
This song is not sung by Kishore Kumar though. This song is sung by Geeta Dutt (Then Roy) and it is picturised on Nargis. The song is written by Majrooh Sultanpuri and it is composed by S D Burman. This song is a very good example of what I can a “chhaayaageet” song, though the term “Chhaayaageet” was not in existence those days.
