“Shehzaadaa” (1972) is one of the lesser known movies of Rajesh Khanna, at least as far as I am concerned. It must have flopped badly for me to have missed hearing about this movie during its time, though I could be wrong.
This movie had Rajesh Khanna and Rakhi in lead roles. I must say that I do not remember listening to the songs of this movie much. I may have heard the songs of this movie a few times , but without knowing that these songs belonged to this movie.
Here is a song from “Shehzaadaa” (1972). This song is sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata. The song is picturised on Rajesh Khanna and Rakhi who are shown enjoying getting wet in water. I thought that it was only Mumtaz (and later Zeenat Aman) who were picturised getting wet in rain with Rajesh Khanna.
The lyrics are quite nice to listen to. Rajinder Krishan, one of my favourite lyricists has written it. R D Burman, who ruled over the Bollywood movie music those days is the music director.

Raakhee was very pretty for that brief short time when this movie was shot. Just saw Lal Patthar and she gorgeous there too. This is an eye candy song.

Am back now after quite a long break and catching up with the blog.
Listening to this song after ages – I remember hearing it in my childhood. Also remember seeing the movie at that time. I don’t think the movie flopped, it did average business I think. But I could be wrong.
Nice to hear this song after so many years. Thanks for bringing it back in my memory, Atul.
