Aaye hain balmaa ho din pyaare pyaare

I am aware of a movie called “Chaand” (1959), but I have found that another movie of a same name was released in 1944 too. This earlier movie, viz “Chaand” (1944) had Sitara,Prem Adeeb,Sapru,Bega Para etc in it.
Here is a duet from this movie. The song is sung by Zeenat Begam and G M Durrani. It is picturised on two actors whom I do not recognise though it seems logical that they must be from the list of four names that I have mentioned earlier. I request my knowledgeable readers to help identify them.
PS-They are Begam Para and Sapru Prem Adib. I thank Mr Arunkumar Deshmukh for this identification.
This song is a car song, with the two people seated adjacent to each other, and it is the lady who is driving the car. A lady on the driver’s seat in 1944 ! Very progressive indeed !
Qamar Jalalabadi is the lyricist and music is composed by Husnlal Bhagatram.

Lyrics
aaye hain balmaa ho
din pyaare pyaare
aaye hain balmaa
aaye hain balmaa ho
din pyaare pyaare
ab jaage bhaag hamaare,
din pyaare pyaare
ab jaage bhaag hamaare,
din pyaare pyaare
aaye hain balmaa
aaye hain balmaa ho
din pyaare pyaare
tum haar haar kar jeet gaye
tum haar haar kar jeet gaye
ham jeet jeet kar haare
balmaa hamaare
ham jeet jeet kar haare
balmaa hamaare
aaye hain balmaa
aaye hain balmaa ho
din pyaare pyaare
duniyaa hai ye preet ki dushman
duniyaa hai ye preet ki dushman
preet ke meethhe geet ki dushman
preet ke meethhe geet ki dushman
duniyaa aa
duniyaa nayi basaayenge hum tum
gaayenge hum tum
gaayenge hum tum
mil ke geet hamaare
din pyaare pyaare
aaye hain balmaa
aaye hain balmaa ho
din pyaare pyaare
nayi khushiyaan aaj bulaatin hain
nayi khushiyaan aaj bulaatin hain
kar kar ke ishaare
balmaa hamaare
kar kar ke ishaare
balmaa hamaare
aaye hain balmaa ho
din pyaare pyaare

What a beautiful discovery, such a lovely song. The decades from 30s to 60s, the audio tecnology was primitive, and the creators of these songs had only basic technical support. Yet, it is a wonder that the music and the songs had much more beauty and character. With minimum musical arrangements, the composer and singers created the most wonderful songs that are incomparable.
One correction, the lines
reet ye ?? ki dushman
reet ye ?? ki dushman
should read
preet ke meetthe geet ki dushman
preet ke meetthe geet ki dushman

The actor here is Prem Adeeb and not Sapru who played the role of Begum Para,s father in “Chand”

sami ji,
Prem adib was 27 and Sapru was 28 in 1944.Logic says that both can not have enacted Begum Para’s father’s role at that age when both were leading actors.
Further,in Chand-1944,there were 2 lead pairs, one was Sapru and Begum Para and the other was Prem Adeeb and Sitara Devi.
As far as I remembver, begum Para’s father’s role was done by an actor Rane, who was a regular father/uncle etc in various films those days.

Atul ji,
There is a correction.
I have recd. an e-mail from Mr.Vidur Sury,a wellknown connoissseure and an expert on old films and music collector. He informed that in the above song actors are Begum Para and Prem Adib.Sapru had done the role of Begum’s father even though he was just 1 year older than Prem.(Mr.Sami has commented correctly.)He has kindly sent me the entire film VDO.
I had not seen the film and had based comments on VDO’s basis.
Regret my error.
