Apni kaho kuchh meri suno

Posted on: August 26, 2011

“Parchhaain” (1952) is a movie produced by Rajkamal Kalamandir. It was directed by V Shantaram and it starred V Shantaram and Sandhya. This movie had some wonderful songs in it. I have discussed four songs from this movie in the past.

Here is another song from this movie. This song is a duet sung by Lata and Talat Mehmood. It is picturised on the lead pair of Sandhya and V Shantaram. Noor Lucknowi is the lyricist and music is composed by C Ramchandra. It is a lovely hummable song that one can listenen many a times without feeling bored.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Atif M.

Song-Apni kaho kuchh meri suno (Parchhaain) (1952) Singers-Lata, Talat Mehmood, Lyrics-Noor Lucknowi, MD-C Ramchandra

Lyrics(Provided by Atif M)

apni kaho
kuchh meri suno
kya dil ka lagaana bhool gaye
kya bhool gaye
rone ki aadat aisi padi
hansne ka taraana bhool gaye
haan bhool gaye

kaali raaten beet gayin
phir chandni raaten aayi hain
phir chandni raaten aayi hain
dil mein nahin ujiyaala mere
gham ki ghataayen chhayi hain
gham ki ghataayein chhaayi hain
preet ke waade yaad karo
kya preet nibhana bhool gaye
kya bhool gaye
apni kaho
kuchh meri suno
kya dil ka lagaana bhool gaye
kya bhool gaye

bhoola hua hai raah musaafir
bichhda hua hai manzil se
bichhda hua hai manzil se
khoye huye raste ka pata
tum poochh lo khud apne dil se
tum poochh lo khud apne dil se
chalte chalte itna thake
manzil ka thikana bhool gaye
haan bhool gaye
apni kaho
kuchh meri suno
kya dil ka lagaana bhool gaye
kya bhool gaye

nazdeek badho
nazdeek badho
yeh mausam nahin phir aane ka
yeh mausam nahin phir aane ka
nazdeek shama ke jaane se
kya haal hua parwaane ka
kya haal hua parwaane ka
mitne ka fasaana yaad raha
jalne ka fasaana bhool gaye
kya bhool gaye
apni kaho kuch meri suno
kya dil ka lagaana bhool gaye
kya bhool gaye

This song indeed never bored. I was maybe 3 or 4 years I heard this song, and now after 6 decades I still can hear my mother humming this song. In my thoughts it was not such a frivole song. I thought it was sadder, so I was suprised to see the eviroment it was playbacked.
