Jab baithhe baithhe dil bhar aaye

I have discussed five songs from “Daak Bangla” (1947) in the past, and all these songs had the voice of Suraiyya in them. This song, on the other hand, does not have her voice in it.
This song is sung by Rafi who was then a struggling male playback singer. This song apparently did not become popular but when one listens to this song, one finds it to be an extremely hummable song. In fact, I find it quite a superb song to listen to.
D N Madhok is the lyricist and its music is composed by Nareshwar Bhattacharya.
Only the audio of this song is available, and so the details about the picturisation of this song is not known .
Song-Jab baithhe baithhe dil bhar aaye (Daak Bangla) (1947) Singer-Rafi, Lyrics-D N Madhok, MD-Nareshwar Bhattacharya
Lyrics
jab baithhe baithhe dil bhar aaye
aur lab se nikle haay haay
to ye jaan lo kisi se
pyaar ho gayaa
jab baithhe baithhe dil bhar aaye
aur lab se nikle haay haay
to ye jaan lo kisi se
pyaar ho gayaa
jab yaad kisi ki tadpaane lage
tadpaane lage
aur dil mein koi bal khaane lage
bal khaane lage
jab apna paraaya samjhaane lage
jab apna paraaya samjhaane lage
jab kisi ki baat nahin bhaaye
jab kisi ki baat nahin bhaaye
aur lab se nikle haay haay
to ye jaan lo kisi se
pyaar ho gayaa
jab aankhon mein
jab aankhon mein udaasi ki ghataayen hon
jab aankhon mein
jab aankhon mein udaasi ki ghataayen hon
ambuwaa pe koyal ki sadaayen hon
ambuwaa pe koyal ki sadaayen hon
sun sun ke sadaayen
sun sun ke sadaayen
jab donon nain bhar aaye hon
sun sun ke sadaayen
jab donon nain bhar aaye hon
dil dhadak dhadak baithhaa jaaye
dil dhadak dhadak baithhaa jaaye
aur lab se nikle haay haay
to ye jaan lo kisi se
pyaar ho gayaa
jab baithhe baithhe dil bhar aaye
aur lab se nikle haay haay
to ye jaan lo kisi se
pyaar ho gayaa
jab baithhe baithhe dil bhar aaye
aur lab se nikle haay haay
to ye jaan lo kisi se
pyaar ho gayaa

This song was originally written for Parwana but it did not suit the character of K.L.Saigal who was shown as a mature, respectable married person. It was replaced by ‘Mohabbat men kabhi aisee bhi halat pai jatee hai’ written by Nakhshab. A decade later Khurshid Anwar repeated the modified version of this song in his own production Jhoomar which was based on the story of Parwana. The version composed by Naresh Bhatacharya is very pleasing.
