Dhaani chunri pahan sajke banke dulhan…hare kaanch ki choodiyaan

Posted on: October 1, 2011

“Hare Kaanch Ki Choodiyaan” (1967) was a movie which was produced by Kishore Sahu to launch his daughter Naina Sahu. This movie had Naina Sahu acting opposite Biswajeet.

Naina Sahus career failed to take off as the movie flopped at the box office.

Now a days, Hindi TV serials tend to have their titles after some old movies with words like Saas, choodi etc. And indeed this title fits the bill and as a result a TV serial indeed has exactly the same title

This movie had a few nice songs in it. I have discussed one song fro this movie. Here is the song from this movie that could well be called the theme song cum title song of the movie. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and it is picturised on Naina Sahu. Shailendra is the lyricist and music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.

song-Dhaani chunri pahan sajke banke dulhan(Hare Kaanch Ki Choodiyaan) (1967) Singer-Asha Bhonsle, Lyrics-Shailendra, MD-Shankar Jaikishan

dhaani chunri pahan,
dhaani chunri pahan,
sajke banke dulhan
jaaungi unke ghar,
jinse laagi lagan
aayenge jab sajan
aayenge jab sajan
jeetne mera man
kuchh na boloongi main,
mukh na kholoongi main
baj uthhengi hare kaanch ki choodiyaan
ye kahengin hare kaanch ki choodiyaan
kaanch ki choodiyaan
kaanch ki choodiyaan

chhoote maataa pitaa,
chhoote maataa pitaa,
chhoota wo baalaapan
kheli main jiske sang,
poore solah saawan
deke tan aur man
deke tan aur man,
main manaaoon sajan,
teri baahon mein ho,
meraa jeewan maran
ye kahengin hare kaanch ki choodiyaan
waadaa lengi hare kaanch ki choodiyaan
kaanch ki choodiyaan
kaanch ki choodiyaan

do salone vachan,
do salone vachan,
tumko meri qasam
ye qasam pyaar ki,
ye rasam pyaar ki
ab nibhaanaa sajan
ab nibhaanaa sajan,
mat bhulaanaa sajan
jaao pardes to,
jaldi aanaa sajan
waadaa lengi hare kaanch ki choodiyaan
phir kahengi hare kaanch ki choodiyaan
baj uthengi hare kaanch ki choodiyaan
kaanch ki choodiyaan
kaanch ki choodiyaan
