Teri zulfen pareshaan

Posted on: December 7, 2011

“Preet Na Jaane Reet” (1966) is a Moviestan presentation. It was directed by S Bannerji. The star cast included names like Shammi Kapoor, B. Saroja Devi, Siddhu, Nazir Hussain, Parveen Choudhary, Minoo Mumtaz, Dhumal,Shammi, Randhir, Johnny Walker etc.

I have discussed one song from this movie in the past. Here is another song from this movie.

This song is sung by Rafi as one would expect for a song to be picturised on Shammi Kapoor. But the rest of the musical team is different. Instead of Shailendra/Hasrat Jaipuri, the lyricist is Anand Bakshi. Music is composed not by Shankar Jaikishan but by Kalyanji Anandji.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by nahm.

Song-Teri zulfen pareshaan (Preet Na Jaane Reet)(1966) Singer-Rafi, Lyrics-Anand Bakshi, MD-Kalyanji Anandji

Lyrics(Provided by nahm)

Teri zulfen pareshaan
teri nazren pashemaan
teri zulfen pareshaan
teri nazren pashemaan
kahin yeh pyaar hi na ho
kahin yeh pyaar hi na ho
naseeb-e-dushmanaan
teri zulfen pareshaan

labon par naa hai magar
sambhal ae jaan-e-jigar
badi kaafir cheez hai
jise kehte hain nazar
jise kehte hain nazar
yeh logon se na keh de haan
yeh logon se na keh de haan
naseeb-e-dushmanaan
teri zulfen pareshaan
teri nazren pashemaan
teri zulfen pareshaan

qadam rakhti ho kahin
magar padte hain kahin
sabab kuchh to hai sanam
yeh haalat yoon hi nahin
yeh haalat yoon hi nahin
koyi dil mein na ho mehmaan
koyi dil mein na ho mehmaan
naseeb-e-dushmanaan
teri zulfen pareshaan
teri nazren pashemaan
teri zulfen pareshaan

nazar qaatil ho na yeh
jigar bismil ho na yeh
jhuki palkon mein hai kya
hamaara dil ho na yeh
hamaara dil ho na yeh
huye na hon hameen qurbaan
huye na hon hameen qurbaan
naseeb-e-dushmanaan
teri zulfen pareshaan
teri nazren pashemaan
teri zulfen pareshaan
teri nazren pashemaan
kahin yeh pyaar hi na ho
kahin yeh pyaar hi na ho
naseeb-e-dushmanaan
teri zulfen pareshaan
