“Daastaan” (1950) which was a Musical Pictures Production, was directed by A R Kardar. Apart from Raj Kapoor and Suraiyya, this movie also had Pratima Devi, Al Nasir, Murad, Veena, Suresh, Shakila etc in it.
I have discussed as many as six songs from “Daastaan” (1950) in the past, but there are still a few songs from this movie that have not yet been discussed.
Here is a deligtful duet from this movie. This song offers us the rare sight of Raj Kapoor lip syncing in Rafi’s voice was rare. Thev sight of watching Raj Kapoor paired up with Suraiyya in a song is equally rare.

Rafi played back for RK in Andaaz (1949) – Yun To Aapas Mein Bigadte Hain Khafa Hote Hain. Music director, in this case too, was the great Naushad.

Lyrics of the song sadqe Heer (Meraa Naam Joker) which was removed from the film, are already there with you.
There is one more fabulous song in Do ustaad, which is “Worli ka naaka, Duniya Dhamaaka ” , which is much too fast, on Raj Kapoor.
