“Shrimati 420″(1956) is a lesser known movie by now. This movie was produced and directed by G P Sippy. The movie had Johny Walker and Meena Shorey in lead roles.
The movie has nine songs in it and these songs are wonderful songs to listen to, as I have been discovering. I have discussed only two songs from this movie. Here is the third song from the movie.
This lively song is sung by Geeta Dutt. Jaan Nisaar Akhtar is the lyricist. Music is composed by O P Nayyar.
Only the audio of this song is available but my guess is that this song is picturised on Meena Shorey.
The lovely tune of this song reminds me of the background music of a few computer games meant for small kids. Who knows, the source could well be the same for this music and those computer games background music.
I heard this song for the first time only just now and I loved this song. What a melodious song. If only one could get hold of the video of this song.

In this song he (OPN) has Kept his typical style of the composition,than trying to make GD to sing like Asha. Just doesn’t suit with GD voice.
