“Barsaat” (1949) was the movie that brought Raj Kapoor’s musical team together for the first time. This team would stay together for the next two decades and rule the roost.
“Barsaat” (1949) was a musical blockbuster. It had 11 songs in all. Most of the songs went on to become timeless classics.
As many as ten out of these eleven songs figure in the blog. The eleventh song is a lesser known song and it is difficult to find.
Here is this eleventh and final song from “Barsaat” (1949). It is sung by Lata. Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.
Only the audio of this song is available on YT, but I am sure that the video of this song is available seeing that this movie is readily available.
The song itself is quite brief, just one stanza long. Records of this song were definitely made, seeing that this song appears in the HFGK list of songs for “Barsaat” (1949).
