Aansuon ko thhaam le

Posted on: September 17, 2012

I have heard of the movie called “Kunwaara Baap” (1974) but I was not aware of a movie called “Chhota Baap”. It turns out that a movie of this title was released in 1977. This movie, despite being a recent movie by the standards of this blog has ended up joining the ranks of obsure movies. This movie was a B grade movie. It was directed by Shantilal Soni. The movie had Romesh Sharma, Bindiya Goswami, Alankar Joshi, Asit Sen, Paintal, Dhumal, Dina Pathak etc in it. With this kind of starcast, it should come as no surprise that few people wanted to watch this movie or even wanted to have anything to do with it.

Forget the movie, even the songs of this movie are not known to most people. And in case a few people have heard the songs of this movie, they may have done so without knowing the details of those songs.

Here is an obscure song from this obscure movie. But what a song !

This song is a multiple version song. Its male version is sung by Kishore Kumar and the female version is by Anuradha Paudwal. The two versions have identical lyrics. In addition, there is a sad version of this song too, and it is sung only by Kishore Kumar.

The Kishore Kumar version of this song is worth listening to. It is an inspirational song par excellence. It is a hidden gem that music lovers should be aware of.

Only the audio of this song is available, and we should be thankful for that. I have no doubt that the picturisation of this song would be a big let down. Listening to the audio of the Kishore Kumar version is all one needs to savour this song.

Here is this fantastic song. Bharat Vyas is the lyricist and music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Avinash Scrapwala.

Male version (Happy and Sad both)

Female version (Happy)

Song-Aansuon ko thham le (Chhota Baap)(1977) Singer-Kishore Kumar/ Anuradha Paudwal, Lyrics-Bharat Vyas, MD-Laxmikant Pyarelal

Happy version

Aansuon ko thhaam le
sabr se jo kaam le
aafaton se na dare,
mushkilon ko hal kare
apne man ki jiske haath mein lagaam hai,
aadmi usika naam hai ,
aadmi usika naam hai
ho o,
aansuon ko thhaam le
sabr se jo kaam le
aafaton se na dare,
mushkilon ko hal kare
apne man ki jiske haath mein lagaam hai,
aadmi usika naam hai ,
ho o aadmi usika nam hai

besahaara hoke bhi sahaara dhoondh le
besahaara hoke bhi sahaara dhoondh le
cheer ke bhanwar ko jo kinaara dhoondh le,
zindagi sangraam hai,
sangraam mein laga rahe,
phal ki aasha chhod ke jo kaam mein laga rahe,
aaram jiske waaste sada haraam hai,

waqt ka muqaabla kare jo seenaa taan ke,
jiski har ek saans deti pyaar ka paighaam hai,
aadmi usi ka naam hai,
aadmi usi ka naam hai

ho oh, aansuon ko thhaam le
sabr se jo kaam le
aafton se na dare,
mushkilon ko hal kare
apne man ki jiske haath mein lagaam hai,
aadmi usika naam hai ,
ho o aadmi usika naam hai

————————————-
Sad version
————————————
aa aa aa aaa aaa aaa
aa aa aa

jo kisi ke dard ko apni nazar se kheench le,
jo kisike aansuon se apne man ko seench le,
jo niraash man ko nayee zindagi ki aas de,
reh ke khud andhere mein jo auron ko prakaash de,
aa aa aa

aise ko jhuk ke kare duniya pranaam hai,
aadmi usi ka naam hai,
aadmi usi ka naam hai,

ho o,
aansuon ko tham le
sabr se jo kaam le
aafaton se na dare,
mushkilon ko hal kare
apne man ki jiske haath mein lagaam hai,
aadmi usika naam hai ,
ho o
aadmi usika nam hai
