Chor lutere daaku phire hain aawaara

Posted on: October 11, 2012

“Ustaad” (1957) was a Shri Krishna Films Production. It was directed by Nanabhai Bhatt. The movie had Ashok Kumar, Anita Guha, Anjali Devi, Rahman, Kumkum, Cuckoo, N A Ansari, Bhagwan, K N Singh etc in it.

One song from this movie has been discussed in the past. Here is another song from “Ustaad” (1957). This song is sung by Geeta Dutt. Jaan Nisaar Akhtar is the lyricist. Music is composed by O P Nayyar.

Only the audio of this song is available and so it is difficult to guess how and on whom this song is picturised. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Mr Sadanand Kamath.

As usual the trio of GD, OP and JNA have scored beautifully.
