“Najma” (1943) was a Mehboob Productions movie. It was produced and directed by Mehboob Khan. The movie had Ashok Kumar, Veena, Sitara Devi, Yakub, Murad, M Kumar etc in it.
One song from this movie has been discussed in the past. Here is another song from the movie. Despite the movie being so old, the video of this song is fortunately available.
The videoo shows the heroine (Veena, I guess) alongwith her sahelis looking up into the sky to hope to be able to watch the “Idd Ka Chaand”. Ashok Kumar, the hero, is naturally in love with her hits upon the idea of flying a kite with moon shaped design in it. The heroine looks at the flying kite. Hindi movie heroines being as naive as they are supposed to be, the lady mistakes it for the moon. Later, on course, the kite lands on her and she finds the kite inscribed with Ashok Kumar’s love letter for her.
Here is this interesting and innovatively picturised song from “Najma” (1943). The song is sung by Ashok Kumar, whose birth anniversary falls today (13 october). Anjum Pilibhiti is the lyricist. Music is composed by Rafiq Ghaznavi.

Video link is not accessible here because embedding has been disabled. on the request of the uploader. However, clicking on ‘Watch on Youtube’ you can watch the video clip .
Unfortunately, I could not locate any other video clip of this song on YT to avoid this type of a problem..
