Tera jalwa tauba hai tera jalwa

on:“Aap Ke Deewaane” (1980) was the first movie of Rakesh Roshan as a producer though the name of Vimal Kumar was officially shown as the producer. The movie was directed by Surendra Mohan. The film had Rakesh Roshan, Rishi Kapoor, Pran, Ashok Kumar, Tina Munim, Ranjeet, Deven Verma, Hrithik Roshan, Keshto Mukherjee, Poonam Dhillon etc in it, with Jeetendra making a guest appearance.
The movie had nice music in it. I was particularly fascinated by the title song of this movie which only consisted one one line viz “ham to aap ke deewaane hain bade mastaane hain” and I believe to this day that the lyricist was shirking work while writing the lyrics of the title song. 🙂
I just discovered that this title song has not yet been discussed in the blog so far.
Here is a song from “Aap Ke Deewaane” (1980). This song is sung by Kishore Kumar and Rafi. Anand Bakshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Rajesh Roshan.
Only the audio of the song is available. My guess is that the song was picturised on Rakesh Roshan and Rishi Kapoor. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on the picturisation of this song.

Song-Tera jalwa tauba hai tera jalwa (Aap Ke Deewaane)(1980) Singers-Kishore Kumar, Rafi, Lyrics-Anand Bakshi, MD-Rajesh Roshan
Lyrics(Provided by Avinash Scrapwala)
Teraa jalwaa taubaa hai
Teraa jalwaa
Jab se dekhaa taubaa hai teraa jalwaa
Teraa jalwaa taubaa hai teraa jalwaa
Jab se dekhaa taubaa hai teraa jalwaa
Ho ho
Jee chaahe jee bhar ke taarif karoon
Ho ho ho
O kyaa kehnaa taubaa hai teraa jalwaa
Teraa jalwaa taubaa hai
Jab se dekhaa taubaa hai teraa jalwaa
Ho ho
Jee chaahe jee bhar ke taarif karoon
Ho ho ho
O kyaa kehnaa taubaa hai teraa jalwaa
Teraa jalwaa taubaa hai teraa jalwaa
Suntey thhe logon se afsaane tere
Haay par tujhko dekhaa nahin thaa
Dekhein haseen to laakhon hazaaron
Haay koyee bhi tumsaa nahin thhaa
Kaali julfein udate baadal
Goraa chaand saa chehraa
Teraa jalwaa taubaa hai teraa jalwaa
Arre jab se dekhaa taubaa hai teraa jalwaa
Kaliyon se phoolon se
Mehfil sajee hai
Haay teraa janamdin aayaa
Meri be adabee tu maaf karnaa
Haay
Main koyee tohfaa naa laaya
Jo khud phool ho usko kyaa dein
Phoolon ka guldastaa
Teraa jalwaa taubaa hai teraa jalwaa
Jab se dekhaa taubaa hai teraa jalwaa
Kehti hai duniyaa har ek dil pe
Haay dilbar kaa naam likhaa hai
Jaane anjaane chehre pe tere
Haay
Kiskaa salaam likhaa hai
Teraa mehboob banegaa
Koyee kismat waalaa
Teraa jalwaa taubaa hai
Teraa jalwaa
Jab se dekhaa taubaa hai teraa jalwaa
Ho ho
Jee chaahe jee bhar ke taarif karoon
Ho ho ho
O kyaa kehnaa taubaa hai teraa jalwaa
Teraa jalwaa taubaa hai teraa jalwaa

hi atul
if you don’t have much info on this song, here it is. this is a party song and both the heroes are expressing their love for Tina. with Ashok Kumar, Pran & Deven Verma looking on benevolently. the heroes belong to 2 different religions as do the fathers of Tina. yes both the senior actors are Tina’s foster fathers looking for a suitable groom for their ward from their own religion. this song is on the occassion of TIna’s birthday. that means this is also a birthday song. there is one other birthday song too in this movie which has Shoma Anand in a guest appearance. but i don’t remember Poonam Dhillon anywhere in the movie.

Yes that`s what I don`t remember Poonam Dhillon in this movie. Shoma anand was there in song “Ram kare, allaaha kre, teri meri dost/jodi bani rahe”(picturised as a cycle picnic song with some “anokhe bol” “Binninaara benjo”(I may be wrong pronouncing it)
Yesterday I want to check the credit sequences of the movie and Thought that may be Poonam Dhillon was there in a “cameo” role(I have seen this movie perhaps on Doordarshan, which is notorious in chopping off the scenes of the movies they show), as she is there in Judaai(Sridevi),Kala Patthar, and didn`t write my comment.

The story is similar to ‘Ek phool chaar kaante’ starring Waheeda and Sunil Dutt. I have seen the songs only. Yesterday i was going to comment that this song is the birthday party of Tina Munim, and it seems the party code was to dress up as a ‘characters in muslim social movie’. I was not wrong.

Story of Ek Phool Chaar Kaante(1960) and Aapke Deewane got similarities with David Dhawan directed movie :Dulhan Hum Le jaayenge(2000) also got the somewhat same story plot.Salman Khan has to satisfy the conditions of 3 uncles of Karishma Kapoor, to marry her->Om Puri,Paresh Rawal,Anupam Kher

Sorry the laughing icon was wrongly written(by mistake) instead of that the movie name should be “Dulhan hum le jaayenge(2000)

other birthday song may be
1)”Tumko khush dekh kar main bahut khush huaa, ye aankh bhar aayee”(Kishore, Rafi)
I don`t remember correctly
2)Ram kare, alla kare:Rafi,Amit Kumar, Lata
3)Hum toh aapke deewane hain:Rafi,Amit,Kishore
4)Mere dil mein jo hotaa hai:Rafi,Kishore,Lata(This song I like the most)
5)Apni khushiyaan tujhe de doon:Rafi, Amit Kumar
6)Tera jalwa tauba hai:Rafi,kishore
And must be the Dvd rights of this movie belongs to “Eros” I think,
In most of the cases, they are only providing youtube links to foreign counrtries and thus Indians are at loss while watching the movie songs of which they have the dvd rights.

Thanks Atul ji, Pradeep ji, Peeveesie’s mom ji, and Prakash ji !!! and thanks for the information shared !!! All songs from this movie are very nice and my favorites( and favorites in our family too, as all my uncles love these songs and frequently listen them. I have watched this movie two times in theatre then and one time on tv (later)but do not remember it completely now. the picnic song which start on bicycle (?) ‘phininana bento o o o (?) and all other songs are live upto the Rajesh Roshan trade mark. I got its audio (cassette) of HMV (other film in this combination being Doosra Aadmi , but very wrongly its cover mentioned its music director as rdb). and i think atul ji has mentioned Poonam Dhillon in place of Shoma Anand.
and we will complete all songs from this movie soon !!! (Pradeep ji – be ready with the Yippiee)!!!
