Strange are the ways of humans. It has its own mechanism of triggering some memory. I was listening to some songs which have no connection, with the one under discussion, then I thought of some other song from the film ‘Krodhi’ that led me to ‘ na fankaar tujh sa tere baad aaya…. Mohammed Rafi tu bahot yaad aaya ‘ (Another ‘Krodhi’) and some how from here I remembered the words and tune of this song, ‘saathhi re gham nahin karnaa ‘ Sounded like a Madan Mohan tune (unused song in the film ‘ Parwana ‘ – jis din se main ne tum ko dekhaa hai).
Anyways, I looked for and found this song which is sung by Mohammed Rafi and Savita Suman, a new name. Music is by Bappi Lahiri, and lyricist is Kulwant Jaani. This song is picturized on Rakesh Roshan and Rameshwari.
Next step was to check if the song is posted here, it was not. I found one song tum saamne baithhe raho, posted from this film, which happens to be a gem of a song by Lata Mangeshkar.
In the song under discussion, Rakesh Roshan is taking Rameshwari to an outing in Mumbai city, in an effort to cheer her up. The sights shown in the song have brought afresh a memory very recent, when we all went to those spots. The same evening scene’s where we all went for a ride in the fancy buggy(ghoda gaadi). We sibling, with spouses and kids, whoever were available went to show an offspring who has grown up in another metro, the sights and sounds of Mumbai. We did all the things we wanted to do for years and never did. A moment in time which will never come back.
In the journey of life, we lose some and we gain some. At first we try to cope with the loss, we find that we do not know how to. Than slowly we learn to cope with it. Then may be after a period of time we are able to talk about it with dispassion. But the space in our lives that is vacated, remain just that, empty space. And we live in hope that some day we will look back at the memory with fondness.

I think the song “Na fankaar tujhsaa tere baad aayaa,Mohammed Rafi tum bahut yaad aayaa” is from KROADH(1990)(Sung By Mohammed Aziz and lip synced on screen by Amitabh Bachchan)(Director:Shashilal Nair)(A sanjay dutt,Sunny deol,Amrita singh,Pallavi Joshi,Sonam,Rohini Hattangadi starrer)

I have seen Dharmendra’s ‘Krodhi’ when it released. I remember some songs every now and than. One is ‘woh maseeha aaya hai ” and wedding song ‘Ladka tumhaara kanwara reh jaata’ . That was L-P and may have some more good songs.
