“Saanwariya” (1949) was a Filmistan production movie. It was directed by N A Mansuri. The movie had Ravi Shanker, Hafiz, Jehan, Indu Paul, Shamim Akhtar, Shanti Madhok, Rehman etc in it.
Two songs from this by now forgotten movie have been discussed in the past. Here is another song from the movie. This song is a duet which is sung by Lata and Geeta Dutt as well as chorus. P L Santoshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by C Ramchandra.
Only the audio of this song is available and so it is difficult to guess ho and on whom this song is picturised. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on the picturisation of this song.

I remember very well one of our group memebr Mr.Vyas
had recorded THIS song from radio slbc,and one fine day
we all could listen this song for the first time,in 1989
or 1990,we all jumped ,really we all jumped aftr listening
this song,what a tune,what a words matching ,jaani re ,
umar bitani re,paani re,just worth listening AGAIN and
AGAIN.I salute CRAM,for these type of tunes only he can
score such tunes.I m sure u will also dance on this song.

Atul ji…I do have a 78rpm record of this song but due to poor quality could not enjoy its lyrics and music…but with this posting by you my search is over…I am short of words to express my delight and joy…such a selfless effort is very very rare to find.
