Mere Himalay ke paasbaanon

Posted on: January 26, 2013

India became an independent nation on 15 august 1947 and a republic on 26 january 1950. Maintaining the status quo and taking it forward is a collective responsibility of all Indians. Seeing the geo political situation in our part of the world, security forces play a vital role in safeguarding the national interest.

On the occasion of the 64th republic day of India today (26 january 2013), here is a song from “Tu Hi Meri Zindagi” (1965). This song is sung by Rafi. Neeraj is the lyricist. Music is composed by Rono Mukherji.

I take this opportunity to wish a Happy Republic day to all.

Song-Mere himalay ke paasbaanon (Tu Hi Meri Zindagi)(1965) Singer-Rafi, Lyrics-Neeraj, MD-Rono Mukherji
Chorus

Lyrics

mere himalay ke paasbaanon
mere gulistaan ke baaghbaanon
uthho ke sadiyon ki neend taj kar
tumhe watan phir pukaarta hai
hawaaon ke dil dahal rahe hain
gulaab Nehru ke jal rahe hain
hawaaon ke dil dahal rahe hain
gulaab Nehru ke jal rahe hain
zameen to kya hai
zameen to kya hai
falak ke aansoo nikal rahe hain
qasam tumhe maan ke doodh ki hai
qasam shaeedon ke khoon ki hai
zameen se uska nishaan mitaa do
jo baag apna ujaadta hai
mere himaalay ke paasbaanon
mere gulistaan ke baaghbaanon

aaa aa aaa
aa aa aa aa

ye baazuen tolne ka din hai
ye maut se bolne ka din hai
badho hatheli pe sar ko rakh ke
ye bediyaan kholne ka din hai
ye bediyaan kholne ka din hai
pahaad ban dushmon pe tooto
tumhaari gango jamuno ki izzat ki ek daaku utaarta hai
mere himalay ke paasbaanon
mere gulistaan ke baaghbaanon

aa aa aaa
aa aa aa

na phir zameen khoon mein nahaaye
na zulm duniya ki umr khaaye
kareeb mandir ke aaye masjid
na phir koi ghar ko baant paaye
na phir koi ghar ko baant paaye
kadi ghulaami ki kaat do ye
zameen phoolon se paat do ye
ke maa ke aanchal ka ek dhabba
watan ki soorat bigaadta hai
mere himalay ke paasbaanon
mere gulistan ke baghbaanon

aa aa aa
aa aaa aa aa
aa aa aa aa

ham apne khoon mein naha chuke hain
safeena apna dubaa chuke hain
ham apne khoon mein naha chuke hain
safeena apna dubaa chuke hain
khilo phalo tum o ahl e manzil
ham apni mmanzil pe aa chuke hain
hai aakhri ye salaam apna
hai aakhri ye payaam apna
jo jaagta hai nahin samay par
wo jeeti baazi ko haaarta hai
mere himalay ke paasbaanon
mere gulistan ke baaghbaanon
uthho ke sadiyon ki neend taj kar
tumhe watan phir pukaarta hai
tumhe watan phir pukaarta hai
mere himalay ke paasbaanon
mere gulistan ke baaghbaanon

While seeing the name of TU HI MERI ZINDAGI one
question arises in my mind why music of this film is
not discussed or played frequentlly by radio stations
ALL the songs are worth listening, like mer vatan ka hai
tu woh ratan,ye kaun gunguna raha hai gulmohar ki
chhaon mein, husn ki raani teri zulf deewani, etc. Also
I ,dont understand why RONO MUKHERJEE was not
given chance in outside films, for music direction. He has
scored very good music for this film.In my opinion
one song by rafi,ae mere vatan mere pyare vatan tu hi
meri zindagi….is more populer than THIS song.

Atul ji , thanks for introducing this song !! Neeraj ji’s lyrics are very intensive and relevant for all times as it speaks about the crucial posts i.e. the himalayan borders ! and given the tough terrain our soldiers fight for us can not be ignored and their sacrifices can not be forgotten !
Paresh ji – thanks for the appreciation and many thanks for the information shared !!
